During the next two weeks, we will be hosting two to three day software demonstrations of Datatel/Colleague and SunGard/Banner, the two systems we are now considering as replacements for AIMS and CampusWeb.

SunGard/Banner will be presenting their software on Wednesday and Thursday, October 14 and 15. The agenda will be organized with a keynote overview on Wednesday morning, followed by scheduled sessions dealing with specific areas until 4 p.m. on Tuesday and all day Wednesday.

One of the sessions, labeled Academic Advising and Self-Service, is scheduled for Thursday, October 15 at 2:30. That session will probably be the most interesting for students and faculty members. The keynote overview also may be of interest to faculty members who wish to see more of the design and purpose of the software.

Staff are encouraged to coordinate with your department managers in order to attend the keynote overview and those sessions appropriate for your area.

All the sessions, however, are open, and you are welcome at any of them. We will be collecting feedback through an online survey, a discussion forum, and through reports from designated departmental liaisons.

We appreciate your contribution to the selection process at this busy time of year.
