I find it interesting that, according to the orthodox -- specifically, Gerhart -- the orthodox—specifically, Gerhart—the doctrine of the authority of scripture is not itself an article of faith (articulus fidei), because it is, rather, the source of articles of faith (principium articulorum fidei) (Schmid: 50).
