But, then, one could say that Jesus Christ as sacrament or sacramental sign=sacramentum is related to the eternal promise of the forgiveness of sins=the primordial and everlasting love of God as res sacramenti. The one "thing" of which all sacraments are signs is precisely God's primordial and everlasting love, this being understood as the Christian way of talking about the meaning of (strictly) ultimate reality for us. Therefore, Jesus Christ, being the decisive re-presentation of this love, is the explicit primal antic ontic source authorizing this Christian way of talking and, as such, the primal Christian sacrament.
