- Navigate to O:\etc\Shared Captiva Cloud\CloudCapture1667\RuntimeInstaller\setup.exe
- ** Note: If you do not see O:, look for the drive called "Depts" - the O: will be hiding at the end of the name
- If prompted with a security warning, click Run
- If asked if you are sure you want to install, click Yes
- Follow the prompts for the Installation Wizard
- The default to "Disable remote access" is good
.NET Framework
If Captiva Cloud requests a .NET Framework Service pack, please first run Windows Updates to make sure your computer is updated.
Next, visit https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/net35-sp1 to download and install the proper files.
Scanner
From Ellucian:
ApplicationXtender (BDM) can work with any scanner which comes with TWAIN or ISIS driver. The capabilities provided by each driver will be different. Please note, ISIS driver generally create images of smaller size compared to TWAIN.
OpenText had provided a list of scanners which are certified with ISIS/Cloud Capture. You can access it using the following link.

Ellucian recommends specific scanners for use with BDM. The University purchased a limited number of Canon ImageFormula DR-C125 Document Scanner when first implementing Banner. As these scanners were originally designed to work on Windows 7 and are now more than ten years old, we recommend referring to the link above to look into a scanner that will work with Windows 11.
If you are not sure if the scanner you are using intend to use will work with BDM, please reach out to the University Technology team.
