You need to do an essay on the theme (parallel to "Metaphysics as Horizon"): "Hetaphysics as Intelligibility"--The point would be to show the crucial difference between (scientific) explanation and giving an account of, understanding, or making intelligible. (One could also argue that "explanation," like other fundamental terms having to do with rational inquiry, has a "field-invariant" meaning and "field-dependent" standards.) Essential points would include: (1) the nature of metaphysical argument; (2) the criteria of metaphysical meaning/truth (experience and reason; clarity and consistency). The whole could be pulled together byby consideration of  the  metaphysical character of  theism.
