The status of “emeritus/emerita faculty” is an honor that is recommended by the Library Faculty upon the retirement of a colleague. When a library faculty member announces his or her retirement, the Library Faculty may recommend to the Library Dean that emeritus/emerita status be conferred. The Dean will forward the recommendation to the Board of Trustees for action.
