It would appear that, given my understanding of "dogmatics" and "apologetics" as properly referring to the two main tasks of systematic theology, what is called for is neither the distinction between "dogmatics" and "ethics" nor the distinction between "systematic theology" and "moral theology," but rather something like the distinction between "metaphysical theology" and "moral theology."
