"Necessarily, experience occurs" cannot be coherently denied – any more than I can deny, "I exist." But unless psychicalism is true – which is just the question: is it true, or even can it be true? – "Necessarily, something exists" does not imply "Necessarily, experience occurs."

Otherwise put: metaphysics in a strict sense does not include "Necessarily, experience occurs." Metaphysics in a broad sense, however, does include "Necessarily, experience – indeed, understanding, thoughtful experience – occurs."
