The Notebooks of Schubert Ogden
Schleiermacher's concept of a"positive science," i.e.,"an assemblage of sciences, or fragments of sciences, brought together to equip practitioners in one of the professions [sc. theology, law, or medicine]," is evidently an anticipation of my concept of a "field- [or study-] encompassing field of study."
