Reason is involved both wherever claims to validity are made or implied and wherever the praxis that makes or implies such claims is critically appropriated, by critically interpreting its meaning and critically validating its claims to validity.

In the nature of the case, engaging in praxis so as to make or imply claims to validity anticipates critically reflecting on it so as to interpret its meaning and to validate its claims, even as engaging in the critical reflection required to interpret praxis and to validate its claims presupposes the praxis and the claims that it makes or implies.
