Do not follow these instructions without a ticket and clear go ahead from University Technology!
Windows 10 will reach its end of support on October 14th, 2025. From then on, machines running Windows 10 will no longer be provided crucial feature/security updates. It is imperative that we upgrade all computers that are eligible to run Windows 11, and extend support for those that cannot upgrade past 10, both for security and user experience.
Open 'Software Center' on your computer. You can search "Software Center" in the Start menu search bar
Once launched, you should see:
Select Operating Systems and then click on Upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 (If you don't see Upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 the asset isn't on the list to update yet)
That will initialize the pre update warning. Take note, we highly recommend making sure all your files are backed up before proceeding. If all good, select Install.
