Granted that metaphysical statements themselves are directly concerned solely with the structure of ultimate reality in itself, they nonetheless necessarily imply statements (existential statements) that are directly concerned with the meaning of ultimate reality for us – just as, conversely, existential statements that themselves are directly concerned with the meaning of ultimate reality for us nonetheless necessarily imply statements (metaphysical statements) that are directly concerned solely with the structure of ultimate reality in itself.
