Upgrade Virus Protection Software

As of Fall 2011, all Drew users should have installed F-Secure Antivirus on their laptops to replace F-Prot.  Users who have not done so are not protected from malware.

How do I know if I have F-Secure on my computer?

  1. Go to Start → All Programs
  2. If you have F-Secure, you will see the F-Secure Anti-Virus for Workstations icon in the list (click image to enlarge)

    null

If you still see F-Prot in your list of programs, you must install F-Secure to restore virus protection on your computer.

Installing F-Secure on Your Drew PC from Application Explorer

  1. Find the Application Explorer icon on your desktop.

    null

  2. Double-click on the icon.
  3. Double-click on the All icon.
  4. Find the Install F-Secure AntiVirus icon among the available programs. Double-click on it. (click image to enlarge)

    null

F-Secure will start the installation process. This may take a few minutes. You will be prompted to allow the program to continue and to uninstall F-Prot from the system. If you encounter messages asking you for such permissions, click Yes/OK.

Once the installation is complete, restart your computer.
