What does Bultmann understand by "a timeless truth [eine zeitlose Wahrheit]"?

In one place, the phrase he places in apposition to it is "a conviction accepted once for all [eine ein für allemal angenommene Überzeugung]" (GV 4: 182; cf. his insistence elsewhere that faith "ist ja keine menschliche Seelenhaltung, kein menschliches Überzeugtsein, sondern Antwort auf die Anrede" [GV 3: 31]).
