Drew University Library http://www.drew.edu/library

Please answer the following questions relative to your individual work in the event of a disaster in the library; e.g., fire and/or water damage or a technological wipe-out.

  1. Temporary or replacement items needed if nothing in your office is salvageable. What items are unique to and necessary for you to do your job? They might include special computer peripherals/software, a phone, reference works, online records, etc. Do NOT include furniture or computers. Is any of the information you would need already stored off-site? Do you have Personnel files? Please indicated if these are CONFIDENTIAL files.
  2. Salvage of some items might be possible. What items from your office would you most need rescued or restored immediately? Could such items be easily replaced?
  3. Collection priorities (to replace or restore in book format, microfilm, electronic access, etc.) See attached sheet.

If you have questions, please contact the Disaster Recovery Team.

Note: For your own information make a list of the personal valuables in your office and check your individual insurance policies to see if you have coverage. This list should be stored outside the library.

  1. 1. I would need access to:

Software: Macromedia Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Putty, Adobe Acrobat, Pharos Remote(?), Microsoft Office

    Hardware: Scanner

Online access to EZproxy, Ektron, Utrak

    2. Just need a computer & software

    3. Collection priorities: current reference works, online access to databases.

Math/Comp Sci collection: online journals, esp. ACM digital library. In event of collection loss, access to SAFARI would make Computer Science Happy.

Education: Education Resource Complete, Buros Mental Measurements Yearbook
