If you are using a wireless connection:

  • Click the "WiFi" icon
  • Select "Open network preferencesNetwork Preferences" or "Open Network Preferences"
  • Select the name of the wireless connection (could be “WiFi” or “Airport”) if not already selected
  • Click “Advanced” and then “Hardware” to see the MAC address

If you are using a wired connection (also works with wireless):

  • Open the Apple menu via the Apple Icon in the upper Left
  • Open "System Preferences" > "Network"
  • Choose your network connection and click "Advanced"
  • Select the Hardware tab to see the MAC address
