History

Constructed: 1959

Welch Hall, Holloway Hall's neighbor and predecessor, was originally built to be an all women's dorm, but later became co-ed. It connects to Holloway (1961) via a large lounge. It contains three stories and a basement with a small lounge and kitchenette on each floor and individual bathrooms. The hall was renovated in 2013 and is now one of the three buildings that houses exclusively freshmen. The third floor houses Civic Scholars and is substance-free. The Welch-Holloway Complex also has a patio with two small picnic areas.
