With the exception of guide and/or service & assistance animalsaid animals (currently rhesus monkeys and guide/aid dogs), animals are not permitted in the Library. However well-behaved, they can create discomfort for many Library users.

- Do not attempt to capture the animal and discourage patrons from doing so as well.but try to keep it in sight if possible.
- Notify Public Safety (4444) immediately.
- If the animal is of a potentially biting or rabies-infected species, warn all patrons in the area where the animal was sighted.
- Inform the Circulation unit (3486) of the action you have taken.
