Just as practical theology presupposes an answer to the question of systematic theology, so systematic theology presupposes an answer to the question of historical theology (as well as an answer to the question of philosophical theology).

On the other hand, just as historical theology does not presuppose an answer to the question of systematic theology, so systematic theology does not presuppose an answer to the question of practical theology.
