What is meant, properly, by the extra nos?

I incline to answer: in a broad sense, what is properly meant by the extra nos is the fundamentum fidei in all three of its aspects: (1) essential or substantial; (2) organic or ministerial; and (3) dogmatic or doctrinal.

In a narrow sense, the extra nos means the fundamentum fidei in only its first, essential or substantial aspect.
