Christians affirm that we are saved by God through the Christ-event, and thus that we are saved by grace through faith.

1. Is, or is not, the Christ-event constitutive of the grace by which we are saved (= saving grace)?

2. Is, or is not, explicit acknowledgement of the decisive significance of the Christ-event constitutive of the faith through which we are saved (= saving faith)?

Exclusivists answer both questions affirmatively.

Inclusivists answer the second question negatively even while answering the first question affirmatively.

Pluralists answer both questions negatively.

I answer both questions negatively, too, although I am not a pluralist.

2. Is, or is not, acknowledgement of the decisive significance of the Christ-event constitutive of the faith through which we are saved (= saving faith)?

3. Exclusivists reason by answering both questions affirmatively.

4. Inclusivists reason by answering the second question negatively even while answering the first question affirmatively.

5. Pluralists answer both questions negatively.

6 I answer both questions negatively, too, although I am not a pluralist.
