Unless I'm mistaken? when Bultmann talks about a merely general faith in God? he's talking about the same thing that he otherwise talks about as holding certain things to be true, or accepting a world view.
Thus he speaks at one point of Ita general faith in God the Father that, at bottom? is something like an optimistic, altruistic world view" (GV 1: 253).
