The Notebooks of Schubert Ogden
Why do I speak of the second level of understanding as "critical reflection and proper theory"?
I do so, presumably, because I have no interest in denying—indeed, every interest in affirming—that, already on the first level of "self-understanding and life-praxis," understanding is certainly present, and so the same may be said for "theory" in a broad, improper sense of the word.
