Who is a Christian?
A Christian is someone whose human faith is Christian faith, and so someone
-who, decisively through Jesus and zoith the apostles, has come to obedient faith in the encOlnpassing mystery of existence called "God" as boundless love; and
-who continues in this obedient faith by bearing witness, which is to say, by confessing the truth as it is in Jesus and by acting in and for the freedom for which God, through Jesus, sets us free.
* * * * * * *
There are three distinguishable moments in Christian faith.
There is, first, the God obedient faith in whom as boundless love is Christian faith.
There is, second, the man Jesus through whom the gift and demand of obedient fai th in God as boundless love are decisively re-presented.
And there is, third, the actual event of coming to obedient faith in God as boundless love decisively through Jesus and then continuing in this faith by bearing witness.
