CNS supports a fully integrated wireless network in most campus locations.  All Drew-supplied laptops have full 802.11a/b/g/n connectivity.

This table will describe wireless coverage in various on-campus buildings.  In most cases, coverage extends to public spaces on building exteriors.

General Notes:

It is difficult, if not impossible, to guarantee complete coverage in every part of every campus building in every situation.  Factors such as environment, population, furnishings, and use of other equipment that may contribute to interference will change wireless coverage dynamically.  CNS attempts to provide "good" or better coverage in 90% or more of all covered campus buildings.

CNS cannot also guarantee coverage for all types of wireless devices.  Testing is done on Drew standard laptops, and in most cases handhelds, tablets, game consoles, and other devices should work adequately, but differences in hardware may mean coverage is not attainable for certain devices.

There are 2 wireless network names (SSIDs) in most locations: "drew" and "drew1x".  The "drew"connection requires no wireless authentication, but requires login to a Web form for accessing the network.  The "drew1x" connection requires authentication (WPA2-EAP-MSCHAPv2) but there is no web form after wireless authentication.  Not all devices can support wireless authentication.
