What makes the strictly metaphysical strictly metaphysical? 

The strictly metaphysical is made strictly metaphysical by being a necessary condition of the possibility of anything whatsoever. In other words, what makes the strictly metaphysical strictly metaphysical is that it is properly transcendental.
