Existentialisln, in the final analysis, is arguably but an acknowledgelnent of our fraglnentariness-more exactly, a recognition of our fragl1l.entariness as one that understands itself, and therewith, in principle, understands, everything else. This it does, of course, only fragmentarily and therefore always questioningly as well as trustingly and loyally.

Note the interesting correspondence here to W. A. Christian's analysis of "basic supposition" (trust), "basic question" (acknowledgelnent of fragnl.entariness), and "open comlnitnl.ent" (loyalty).
