RUSH order cards are in front of you, and you've logged into MLS Interacq.
- Click Collection development--Database Access
- Search by title
- Scan the collections record for accuracy
- Always TAB through order fields. Pressing return will complete the form as is (incomplete).
- Check price in order field.
- Enter in PO number with this convention: MLS110916M ("M" is for Matthew)
- Chosse RUSH in the Alternate account field if the title is indeed RUSH
- Vendor Notes: Please RUSH this title. Thank you!
- Click Add to cart
- Repeat steps 2-9 for each title to order
After placing an order w/MLS via InterACQ…
Go to Pending Actions/MARC Download on the InterACQ website
Click on the relevant link in the File Name column to download the MARC records to your PC (I created a shortcut to the download folder
In WorkFlows…
Use the MARC Import Utility to copy the MARC records from your PC to the production server
Use the Bibload report to load the MARC records into the Unicorn database
Be sure to uncheck the “junktags” box!
Log-on to the production server (Rivers) using Windows’ Remote Desktop Connection (USer name and password are the the Physical Interacq file if you can't remember)
Double-click the MidWest bibOrderLoad camel on the desktop to load the order info
Enter the case sensitive PO Number and hit the Enter key
Go get another cup of coffee
When it is done a bunch of arcane information will appear on the screen – look carefully for a message re unknown fund numbers (if such a message appears type N for “NO” to answer the question “Does everything look OK?” and hit the Enter key. Then use WorkFlows to fix the fund numbers in the MARC records. Otherwise…) type Y for “YES” and hit the enter key
Go in to WorkFlows’ Display Order and search for the PO Number to see everything worked
Log Off of Rivers by clicking Start | Log Off Repeat out loud: !!ALWAYS LOG OFF - NEVER SHUT DOWN!! Never select the "X" at the top of the screen either.
Delete the file of MARC records from your PC
Delete the file of MARC records from the InterACQ website by check the box in the left column and clicking the “Delete” button.
