The Drew Emergency Notification System (ENS) is the means by which the university notifies the members of its community of an imminent danger.

In the event of an emergency, initial notification is made by text message to the cell phones of registered ENS users. (Text message was chosen because it’s a format that is widely used by students, staff and faculty, and messages can be composed, sent and received expeditiously.)

The university will endeavor to communicate as broadly as possible. Subsequent messages may also be sent via phone call, email and/or social media, as conditions allow. Because that may not always be possible, however, community members should not look to those communication channels as the primary source of information. The ENS is the only official means of notification. It is the responsibility of each member of the university community to register with the system.

Registering

The ENS is a free, subscription-based service. Members of the Drew community may register and/or update their contact information and preferences by visiting the Emergency Notification System sign up page. A valid Drew uLogin ID and password are required.

The system accommodates a secondary number. Parents wishing to receive emergency notifications from Drew may do so by having their student add their cell phone number as a secondary contact.
