This collection of 230 items contains dissertations and monographs on Biblical and theological topics. Most dissertations are in Latin and date from the 19th century, although some are earlier. Monographs are generally in the vernacular. The collection was acquired by James Strong, Drew’s first Professor of Exegetical Theology. Groups of dissertations are bound into volumes, most of which have a bookplate affixed which reads: From the library of James Strong, S.T.D.  Each item is individually cataloged. A print finding list is available; call number: 19 CENT BR45 Finding List vol.1-2.
