  1. Mark the records you want to put into Endnote
  2. Go into the Marked Records list.
  3. Make your citations are checked, then click "Export citations into EndNote, ProCite, RefWorks or Reference Manager."
  4. Click on "Export directly to ProCite, EndNote or Reference Manager."
  5. The browser will download a file called "pdqweb".

In endnote webImporting to MyEndnoteWeb:

  1. login to endnoteweb
  2. Click on the Collect tab
  3. Click on "Import New References"
  4. Next to File, Click on the Browse button and find the pdqweb file you downloaded (look in F:\My Documents\Downloads)
  5. Next to format, choose Proquest
  6. next to To: select the folder you want to put the files in.
  7. Click Import

Entering Your Own Citations

Sometimes you will need to enter citations for items you haven't found in a database. To do this:

  1. Login to MyEndnoteWeb
  2. Go to the Collect tab.
  3. Click on New Reference.
  4. In the right column, click on the triangle next to "Groups" to see the possible groups to add your reference to; check the boxes for the groups you want to add the item to.
  5. Next to Reference Type: choose the type of item you are working with (for instance, Book, Book Section, Electronic Article (for journal articles you've found online), Journal Article, Personal Communication, Web Page, etc...)
  6. Fill in the blanks with the information you have about the item. Some items will not have information to fill in every blank. As you enter information in each blank, the information will be saved.
  7. When finished entering information, click "Save".
